Rahmat Sah Saragih, Jakarta, Indonesia.
I am from a very quiet part of the world.
All you can see, are question marks.
Yet I am from the busiest street on Earth.
I walk back and forth, unstoppable.
Where I come from is a place where all dreams you've never seen before are placed.
I'm growing up with differences.
But guess I was never taught to see it as something true.
Questioning the existence of a thin boundary between right and wrong,
yes I see it in every single head.
Where I am is nothing to do with my city,
my island,
my country, my continent,
nor my planet.
I'm far far away from what mirror can usually reflect.
I am from my soul, where I find a reason to live a life.
I am from my mind, where things appear and push me up.
But until then, I 'was' from a very quiet part of the world.
Has been past.

What is this?
That question would probably be answered by millions of blog posts, okay? LOL. But for sure, it was written for Global Citizen Corps Indonesia's Youth Camp 2011, few days ago. Gosh the best week of the year everrr... Won't tell you much in this post but I promise for the next one, it will be a blast!!!
About the poem, I was instructed to write anything which was related to "I Am From" theme. That could be my country, my land, tribe, culture, etc... but I chose something more personal because I thought it would be common if I wrote about where I came from physically. So this poem quite much tells you about what I am feeling inside, instead of outside. It's about me being myself and the way I identify my mind and stuff... confusing huh?
Me either! I tried so hard not to fall asleep when I was writing it. LOL. It was 2 AM, okay?
